Tons of Fun for children

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My little boy was entertained for hours since he loves to learn and the multiple books that came with Leap-Frog Leap Reader Learn to Read was so impressive how he was so excited and enthusiastic to learn. I Loved seeing his excitement with every turn of the page. This is a must for children learning!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Absolutely love this. My 6 year old, 4 year old, and 3 year old all use it and it's amazing! They love reading all the books, and it's great for all different ages. My youngest uses the setting to click one button and have the story read page by page, my oldest is working on her reading, so she uses the setting where it reads it word by word. Cannot recommend this enough, and we will be getting more books!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The LeapReader Learn to Read 10 Book Mega Pack was a great gift for my son who is an emergent reader. It is very easy to use and held my son's attention. The pen is a wonderful accessory that has helped my son to learn to read by sounding out letters and I love that the stories are interactive.

He likes it and it gives him the opportunity to feel like he’s playing while reading. He rarely sits still for things, but it keeps his attention long enough to finish the story. It comes with a good amount so he doesn’t get bored with the same book.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Leap reader reading system from leap frog is a great product that helps with reading. I love that it helps build early reading skills by sounding out words and even reading the sentences. The leap reading system comes with 10 books by using the interactive leap reader stylus you can hear the characters voices, music and sound effects

Great reading product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So I like this leap frog product a lot but I don’t like that you have to have a computer to use it. It makes it harder to use for certain people who don’t have a computer. I do have one but now I have to get around to setting up this product.

Great for kids

So many features

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really appreciate the thought that when into this phonics-based reading system. Some words or parts of words are highlighted in yellow to identify that they either make a single sound or that they don’t follow typical phonics patterns. As an adult, I sometimes don’t think about those subtle differences with phonics which makes it more difficult to teach reading. I also really enjoy the many different ways to interact with the stories. The pen can read the story, say the words, make the letter sounds, or identify the letters. When you are in the mode to make the letter sounds or identify the letters, when you hit each letter in a word in order it will then combine the sounds or letters all together to sound out or spell the word. Example, “C-A-T CAT” It is also extremely accurate. The pen always has known where it is being touched to. I’ve not seen it make a mistake.
The set came with ten books plus a parent guide. Each book focuses on a different vowel sound. There is a book for each short vowel sound, long vowel sound A, I, O, U, and a book about the letter Y and the different sounds it makes. The long vowel books also introduce the silent E. I do wish that the books were numbered with a suggested order to use them. They seem to have some easy books and some that are a bit more difficult so some order would be nice. The end of each book also has some games that are related to the sounds learned in the book. My kids do find some of the games too difficult, but with an adult they can do them.
The pen also provides some educational entertainment without the books. There are audiobooks and songs. My kids love the songs! They bring the pen in the car just to listen to the songs and sing along. I do wish there were more songs and audiobooks available to download just so I didn’t have to hear the same 2 on repeat quite as much.
