I have been trying to Iron some curtains after spending a lot of time I am going to take them to the cleaners this is the poorest Iron I have ever had
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I bought this iron as a replacement and am satisfied; however, didn't expect sole plate to become dirty so quickly. My previous iron had a teflon plate and rarely became dirty

We are glad to hear that you are satisfied with our Sunbeam® Simple Press™ Iron, White & Blue and we are sorry to hear that the soleplate become so dirty. We suggest you to use baking soda and water to clean an iron's soleplate. All you need to do is mix some baking soda and a little bit of water to create a paste. Then, rub this paste on the iron's soleplate by using a soft brush or towel to scrub. Simply use water to wipe it away. We hope this helps!

Bought this last month and am very pleased. I have some problems with strength in my upper arm and wrist arthritis so I needed something light. Have only used it twice and am not sure the steam is very powerful in the lower temperatures, but it did the heavier clothes great
