Quickly fix veggies and salad!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We used this OXO Good Grips Salad Spinner to mix our homemade salad with salad dressing. First thing that I noticed about this salad spinner is the size. I really liked how big the bowl is. It is perfect for serving multiple people as well as storing the leftovers when there are only a few people eating. A colander basket also comes with this salad spinner which allows to rinse veggies separately. The lid has a one handed pump that when pressed down, allows the colander to spin. There is also a patented brake that when pressed down, stops the spinning. The storage lock allows the one handed pump to be pushed down into the colander/bowl for easy storage.
In other simple words, add your ingredients, place the lid back and press the pump. When done, stop the spinning by pressing the patented brake button. Remove lid, serve and enjoy! It couldn’t be made simpler. The whole spinner is also lightweight and easy to carry, just be careful with the bowl and lid as they’re made of plastic material. It is also dishwasher safe. It’s like a two in one product as leafy greens can be washed in the colander and the whole product used as a mixer. It’s a must have for any veggies and salad users.

Great for summer salads!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wanted a large bowl for storage AND serving, but I initially did not look for the salad spinner feature. I like how this has a removable basket which allows me to rinse produce in the sink and immediately transfer it to the large bowl. The spinner function is easy to use, and because the top locks, storage is very easy too.

I have also been using the bowl to clean other produce with water and white vinegar. I have used this product almost daily. I highly recommend.

Looks good and feels good

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've have a salad spinner from another brand before. I always felt like I could take it or leave it. The OXO feels completely different on my hands. First of all, it's big enough to make a family salad; in not saying it's for a huge family but if you have 4 or so in the house, you won't be running batches. Another thing that struck me right away was the sturdy strainer. It is really quite strong and you could easily use this for your daily vegetable wash.
The package isn't really clear on why the 4.0 is different from the models before it but I can say there are a lot of smart things going here. The lid comes apart, and without a dozen pieces to worry about. Pull, wash, dry, clock back into place. I really appreciate it being really easy.
Most often, I'm using a spinner to rinse herbs. The colander insert is designed well for this. The herbs don't end up hanging out of it. Sure, some went through when I washed dill, but that's bound to happen. You can always put herbs in a reusable mesh bag before spinning. That will hold everything together but still let the water spin away.

Great kitchen tool!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recieved the salad spinner, and it's honestly the only thing I have been wanting for the past year. I love that it has the pump to spin it instead of a crank handle, which also encourages the kids to help prep meals. Also love that it has the lock storage for the pump so its not just hanging out on top, and is also great for storage.
