Awesome spinner and even better customer service! Oxo stands behind their products. When our (well over a decade old) spinner broke, I called them up. They sent a new one straight away. Can’t beat that.

Overall I like the salad spinner, the one problem I find is that there is a small prong in the bottom of the base and you must be sure to fit the basket into the prong or it won't spin. Sort of inconvenient.

This salad spinner is a must have. It takes all the water out and keeps the lettuce fresh and crisp for a week. A piece broke off from the top lid that helps it spin after a year of use. Contacted OXO C/S and they sent me a brand new spinner. Now, that is standing by your product!!! I always try to buy OXO for this exact reason. Great products and awesome C/S.

I love OXO products. This salad spinner was actually a replacement for one the I had with a cracked bowl. The OXO customer service was wonderful. OXO stands by their products. I always find their products to be superior to other brands.

It's the best -- however...

Used this for years and it's awesome but, replaced 10 yr old with new and the small basket grid injected plastic on the very bottom layer should be stronger (wider, more plastic) as that bottom layer can break if you put something very heavy in the spinner. I know, not designed for heavy things but if you toss, say, a washed head of cabbage in the spinner to let it drip-dry, you can break one or more of the plastic mesh grid pieces connecting the bottom to the basket.
My prior spinner basket was a bit more rugged. So buy it, use it but don't put too much weight of force on the bottom of the basket. Message to OXO -- add just a bit more injected plastic to that bottom grid and you have a 5-star rated product.
