Simple machine, works well and easy to navigate. Instruction manual very clear and straight forward for set up and cleaning.
Only thing is that the machine gets over heated after 3 cups of coffee and we always have to wait for it to cool down. I think that this is really quick... could be better, maybe it's an engine thing?
Would like more settings for cup size, strength of brew, but I think this comes with higher end models.
Overall love it, would just love to be able to make more cups!

great coffee but high maintenance machine

you have to clean filter after making about 10 coffees - great for 1 person, but when you have a party and want to make coffee it doesn`t work well. Filter needs to be clean, water needs to be added after each use etc.

Ground coffee around brew group

This is the second machine the first quit working after a few month when I send it to the repair shop that Philips recommended after 6 month they said that fixing it was impossible. So after about 3 more month Philips send me a new one this one waists more coffee than it uses. After it grinds it deposits a huge amount of ground coffee around the brew group that is very hard to clean and is very wasteful. I have owned 2 Saeco Vienna in the past and was very happy I owned each for about 7 years and never had a problem.
Pros: it is small
Cons: it dosent work the way it shoud
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This fully automatic espresso machine works great. The only complaint is the finger guard in the bean hopper. It makes getting the beans in the hopper a little difficult. Otherwise works great. Easy to clean, programmable shots, and nice little steam wand make this machine a pleasure to use.

Nothing like fresh brewed espresso

I've been using my Saeco Xsmall and I am impressed. The coffee is great (it helps to have good coffee beans). The frother makes a stiff foam that can compete with any industrial frother. The Americano option, is like having a long espresso, again, good beans in a good machine = great coffee experience The xsmall is the perfect size for my small kitchen counter and don't miss the space. Cleaning is super easy, and so far the warning lights work well. Alerting me to empty bean hopper, empty water container. Haven't done the descaling, but it's only been two weeks. Highly recommend for the price.
Pros: small machine
Cons: not super hot but perfect temp for me no waiting

We used to have odea giro before and had to replace it. We were not sure about Phillips buying Saeco......did not know the outome of the acquisition and the impact on the products...I can tell that we like it, we heard Phillips has improved an take Saeco products at higher level.
