Gets rid of lots of impurities and with mineral rich Texas water, it can really alter a great cup of coffee’s flavor. F you like coffee to taste like coffee, this is a great filter!

Cause of all the problems of my philips 5400

Poorly designed. I use these for my philips 5400 coffee maker, the machine is fabulous but these filters cause regular issues with it. Somehow it seems to get air into it or something and the coffee maker struggles with flow. I take out the filter give it a good shake and submerge it for a couple mins and boom, good to go for another week or so. I even keep the water reservoir filled to keep the filter submerged. Ugh so annoying, is there a better alternative that is compatible? I hate these things
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
