Best Blender KitchenAid or VitaMix? KitchenAid!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I did some live comparison shopping in stores that had the Vitamix and this blender. When inspecting them the KitchenAid beat the VitaMix easily as far as materials used when building them. The VitaMix looked and felt cheaply made with a 2.2 hp motor and lots of flimsy plastic on the base that houses the motor, whereas this blender with its 3 hp motor not only looked great but the materials( heavy duty metal) and construction of it made more sense. In order to get a 3hp motor on any VitaMix you have to spend over $1,000 and buy one made for a business. You could tell that KitchenAid put a lot of thought and research making this blender. I made smoothies, nut butter, soups. All turned out perfect. This blender is so easy to operate, very user friendly. Stop start switch, pulse, 9 speeds plus a max speed. Easy to clean. 10 year warranty and if it ever breaks KitchenAid will send a brand new one at no charge with another new 10 year warranty, so how can you lose! I absolutely love it. Looks beautiful, very well made, easy to operate and the most important aspect of it...It does the job easily and perfect every time. If I could give it 10 stars I would. Great blender, great buy!

It's easy to use, easy to clean. I made soup it in this weekend and it came out great. Another awesome product by KitchenAid!!! I highly recommend.

Loved the base on blender. Will not tip or fall over. Blender is great for chopping,smoothies etc. love it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] WOW!!! This blender is a powerful, state of the art blender in your kitchen. I put this thing to the test by packing in frozen fruits and vegetables. I thought I would need to allow everything to sit and thaw to handle the ingredients, but it literally puréed and smooth everything out in a even smoothie consistency. It cups with a convenient measuring cup and a tamper accessory as needed for optimal blending performance.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Blender may be the coolest looking appliance in your kitchen. It just looks like it wants to work. Smoothies, dough, drinks etc, this blender can do it all. It is powerful yet quiet. It will pay for itself by making smoothies better and cheaper than any store selling them. I highly recommend this blender. You will never need another one.

Why do you not have this in Red!!? I am wanting to buy, and have been doing a lot of research. This one and the pro line are my decisions, likely, and would prefer this one for price and its all I need. But I really want red. So I'm thinking about saving for the pro line so I can have red. I have a red mixer and want them to match! I dont understand why this series only has 3 color choices.
