Strong motor, easy controls, easy to clean

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Was offered machine by KitchenAid to test and review. As a professional chef, have used in kitchens vita-prep, and loved them. This 3hp machine is stronger, and works well under stress. If you are looking to purchase a vita-prep, I would also consider this KitchenAid blender, it's built sturdier and feels solid. It's a lifetime investment, and with speed control, can make soups, sauces and any purees seem easy, no hot liquids shooting the top off. My only advise to only fill half to three-quarters, so no worries, and hold on, the motor is strong!

Better than expected.. happily surprised

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Have always loved NINJA brand; with last 1 had to purchase new lid x 2 & container began literally chipping away & cracking not that long after getting it. Did lotsa research & decided on Kitchen Aid which has been very impressive with salsas, soups, smoothies blending. Mostly appreciate the LACK of dials; it works exactly like it says it will, which is the ease of using a heavy duty blender i was looking for.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Santa came early. I received my new KitchenAid High Performance Series Blender last week and I love it! It’s sleek design looks great on the counter. What really blew me away was the ease in which I ground the frozen strawberries for my morning smoothie! I swear, it was like eating frozen yogurt! No lumps of frozen Barrie’s anywhere! It took less than a minute on half speed! Can’t wait to try more recipes included with the blender.

Very powerful

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My family loves drinking smoothies daily, making homemade sauces, and chopping up ingredients for salsa. A good powerful blender is a great kitchen tool to have. KitchenAid is a very well known brand, and I believe they are one of my top go to kitchen gadget company.
This High Performance Series Blender is great. Since getting this blender I’ve used it many times. Each time it’s easily blended all of my ingredients and didn’t require much time to blend them.
The blender was well packaged in its box. Easy to take out and set up. It came with the instructions and with a recipe book. The recipe book provides many simple to make drinks, sauces, and dips. Love when companies include these booklets. The instructions about the blender are simple and easy to follow. I was able to wash everything easily before my first use of the product. I hand wash, but did read that all parts ( except the base ) are dishwasher safe. The actual base is very hefty. The weight I’m sure is because of how strong the motor is. The weight isn’t a huge problem for me, but I’m sure those with wrist problems might not be able to constantly move this blender around.
The blender jar is a good thick plastic. The measurements are easy to read on the side, and make it simple to just add your ingredients in. The top of the jar pops on and off easily, and stays on securely during the blending process. The top also comes with a built in measuring cup. I’m not sure how often I’ll use it, but I’m sure it might come in handy. Along with the blender jar, the machine comes with a blending stick. Used for moving the ingredients around while blending. This is a very handy tool, making it so I don’t have to constantly turn the machine off and scrape/mix the ingredients around. One thing I’m unsure about is how the blender jar sits into the base. At first it seems secure enough, but while blending it somewhat wobbles around, and I have to gently hold it still. It’s only on the higher speeds though.
The controls are super simple and easy to use. The main on/off switch on the back was a good idea, and will make it difficult for my kids to accidentally turn on the machine. I unfortunately can’t keep the blender on my counter, it’s just to tall and doesn’t fit under my cabinets. If I don’t put the blender jar on then it fits perfect. Cleaning the jar is fast, and easy. As mentioned before, I hand wash. So what ever doesn’t come clean after quickly blending water/soap through it, I can easy take a rag and clean around the blades. Overall this is a very powerful blender, easy to use, and blends everything wonderfully, but it is heavy, and the jar has to be held at higher speeds. Besides those few negatives, I’m very impressed with this product, and can’t wait to try out more recipes with it.

The Best Of All Blenders

Slightly loud but for time it takes to do the job not an issue. Would highly recommend this blender to anyone looking for quality and high performance

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used this blender to puree pumpkin for bread and pies. It created a super smooth consistency that made my baked goods awesome. I have also used a vita-mix blender and thought that the kitchen-aid was as good as or even better. Although it was louder I thought. I like this blender and know that what ever I need done it can do.

Powerful but deceiving

The motor is very powerful and the product is beautiful.
However, most of the features don't meet the same quality standard. You can't grind spices as it will chip and ruin the vase. The control knob was very deteriorated after only 6 months of use - I never put it in the dishawasher.
Customer Service have been very good about it replacing pieces but I'm not sure I would buy this product again if I had the chance.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
