Upgraded msata drive

I bought the Samsung EVO 850 500 GB msata drive to upgrade from a 128 GB drive in my computer. I used the Samsung Data Migration software to clone the new disk using a USB 3.0 drive enclosure. The software could not have been easier to use and 40 minutes later I had a new 500GB drive in my computer. I did not even have to format the new drive because the software took care of that. I am a very happy customer.
Pros: easy to install

I installed a 850 Evo MSATA 500gb ssd in my Dell XPS 8700. The install was easy to install, the BIOS setup went easily as well. Samsung Data Migration Software was easy to use and work well for my system. Highly recommend, install is easy and the performance gains are astronomical. The XPS 8700 is a totally new machine, for the money this is the best upgrade , a great bang for the buck. If you decide to get an SSD I recommend to get a Samsung SSD, not only for the ease of install, but also for performance and strong history of reliability.
Pros: very good value, strong history of reliability with ssd's, easy to install, data transfer a breeze, extreme performance gains
Cons: costly need to have hdd
I would recommend this to a friend!

Installed this mSATA SSD in 2 Dell M4800 and one M4600 Precision as the primary OS drive. Used the included clone software on the 4600; clean OS installs on the 4800s. Used Magician on all three. Graet software to maximize the potential of this dynamo drive.
Pros: Lightweight, fast, reliable

Fast 1TB Drive

Easy to install on my laptop. First time even though software said drive mirroring was complete it would not boot. I did it again but formatted the new drive first and it worked beautifully and still is. I probably should have formatted the new drive first but it has been a while since I have built or upgraded any PC's or laptops. Upgraded a 128 SSD that was in the red zone for almost full to this 1 TB SSD. You don't get the full 1 TB, you get somewhere over 900 GIG, but that is the usual case with most drives. So far I am very pleased with this new drive.
Pros: fast
Cons: not cheap

Breathed new life to a 2011 Laptop!
on July 28, 2017

My wife has the 2011 Samsung Series 9 NP900X3A with a 2nd Gen Dual Core i5 processor, 4 GB of DDR3 RAM, and 128 GB mSATA drive. It was getting frustratingly slow, to the point where we considered buying her a new laptop. After some research, we decided to buy parts and upgrade her existing laptop instead. Bought another 4 GB of RAM, this Samsung 850 EVO mSATA, and an external enclosure (so I could still use the 128 GB drive). Did a fresh install of Windows 10 easily and included Samsung's Magician Software to better optimize the SSD. Laptop now runs as well as most modern day laptops that could have cost us 800 USD. With newer NVME drives though, I was hoping I could get this for much cheaper.. probably would have gotten the 1 TB. Regardless of price, this was a purchase I was very happy to make!
Pros: very fast and consistent speeds, 5 year warranty, trusted brand
