Great iPad. Above my expectations. Light weight. Big screen. Great sound. Quick processing. I have a first gen iPad mini, iPad Air, and now this 12.9 4th gen, so I notice a great deal of difference. I do not play video games so I cannot provide feedback on gaming. I do not watch movies, so I cannot provide feedback. I read the news, listen to Sirius music, and a few apps here and there like drawing, Numbers, Pages and BBC. I am not on social media so I cannot comment on how those apps work. The Apple Pencil is a must with this iPad version. The Apple Pencil will magnetize to the right side of the iPad, which can at times be in the way when holding the iPad. The camera works well. I suggest getting a case, a 3.5mm headphone jack adapter, and a screen protector (Paperlike). I do not use a keyboard case with my iPad as I would use my MacBook. However, I believe one could have a similar experience using a keyboard if the keyboard layout was similar to all the functions of a keyboard. Battery life seems to be good. I get through a day using the iPad off and on and only use up 20% of the battery. The cell service works very well, as good as a cell service provider can provide. I travel often but don’t see a need to travel with this iPad since the iPad mini is more suited. The iPad pairs easily with AirPods, Apple Pencil, and Apple TV. I would say that though the iPad 12.9 4th gen is not a great value, it is a great device.
