Just as fast as my 2018 MacBook Pro. You need the Apple Pencil 2 to really get the most out of it. Wish ATT sold it along with the Apple Pencil 1

The 12.9 isn’t too big, and the UHD video and audio quality in playback are beautiful. The 256 GB holds plenty of UHD movies from Apple TV App. No need for me to go to 512 GB. One thing I found is that the cell reception is very good, but the minute I enclose my new iPad with any of the inexpensive plastic protective cases, I loose a bar ( drops from 2 or 3 to just 1). Threes three, all diminished cell reception. Tech friend explained theory why—says leather case should work fine.
