DVR instructions in box could be better

There are no instructions with the box for setting up the dvr recordings. It was necessary to go on to the Swann website to download adequate instructions.

We no longer include a physical manual with the Swann systems. These manuals would be available online through our support center. support.swann.com

Great features

I purchase this 2 weeks ago. I had a previous Swann System that lasted for 8 years. This system has great features that I love, especially the night vision. The only reason I gave 4 stars is because it blacks out part of the picture when shade appears on screen, so your are looking at half the screen and half shaded which is black out. I would recommend Swann systems over everyone else. Keep up the good work SWANN.

Great apart from hard drive

This is the second swann cameras I have had the first one lasted about 3 years second one just over a year I did notice a noise from hard drive just after I bought it should of sent it back but didn't it has now packed in great product easy to set up on mobile etc but don't think I will get this make next I think they should last longer
I would recommend this to a friend!

It is not common for noise to come from the recorder. The only noise produced will come from the fan used to keep the electrical components cool. If you are hearing noise come from the recorder, this is not normal. Please contact our support team when you are in front of the unit to begin troubleshooting.

I am very pleased with the DVR that I purchased! I have not changed out any of the cameras yet, but plan to soon. We have had our old DVR for some time (34,000 hours) and just had to replace it now. Thank you for such good products!

Easy to install wish owner's manual was included in box

Putting the pieces together was fairly easy. One cable would not plug into the DVR but would connect to the 100 foot extension cable. Since this is an infrared system placement is important for motion pick-up. I had to relocate one camera three times before I got the results I wanted. As titled, an owner's manual may have helped understand your product better.
