No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This camera records in 1080P but should be sufficient variating on your security needs. When remotely accessing, the application has 3 different settings for streaming quality; low, medium, and high. If you are having problems streaming you can lower the settings and test to see if it improves. Note that lowering the stream settings does not affect the quality of the recordings. If you have very fast upload speeds you can set your camera to high, but if your upload speed is not that good then we recommend you use medium or low for the streaming setting. My new camera is working very well. However I am concerned that my original camera which was only 18 months old was faulty. I hope the 7 other cameras last a Lot longer!!!!

Offline 98% of the time

The system is offline 98% of the time.. can never access on my iphone.. will ne ripping out the entire system and replacing with reliable product

I can't speak for every Swann System, But the System that I bought, I like 100%, I Hooked this System up to my 50 Inch Flat Screen TV, Like now, It's Midnight, I can see everything as if it was day time, It's very Clear, I have not had any trouble with this system, I would buy this same System again, I have the system with Wires, I had to string all the wires, But I don't know anything about the Wireless System, So I picked this System, I like it.....
