We ordered the original printer from Costco online. Right out of the box there was a software problem that could not be fixed over the phone. Without hesitation, I was offered another new printer which was overnighted to my location. The replacement has worked flawlessly and the wireless feature adds benifits that makes the purchase even better. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE after the sale. Brother is a top notch company and has earned my respect and consideration for future purchases.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Wow, this is both a very fast (much faster than other reviews lead me to believe) and high quality printer with many extras ... especially the two sided copying & scanning without flipping the sheet. And setting the machine up was simple so long as you follow the instructions (I am using it wirelessly). Can't say enough about Brother products ... they work well and are made well and as advertised. What more could you want.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Setup is difficult and
PaperPort ripped out all Nuance products already installed on my machine. That I did not love. Now I have to pay to replace working Nuance programs.
Think carefully before you install the suite if you have other Nuance products already installed.

It's a great value with the optional extra paper tray. Never had any issues with memory. The printer/copier is fast (single side). The fax functions are very dependable.
My only complaint is that it cuts any image or character from the very edge of the original document being copied or scanned, so that the copy will not be identical to the original.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Our firm has approximately 12 machines. They jam in less than a year and half and will not feed blank paper. When warranty is still in effect, it is always the same problem. Our annual usage is way below normal and we are looking for replacements. Your older models were much better and we have use the brother at least 10 years. I have 3 Model 8950's down and will probably be junked. All three machines have less the 1 and half years usage.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This is my second printer. I bought it because it prints and scans to iPads and iPhones. It was easy to set up, is fast and as a musician scanning music over to iPads can't be simpler . The duplexes is extremely fast. I printed a 360 page music fake book in 24 minutes. Pretty fast if I must say so.
It holds 500 sheets and I have a lower tray(lt5400) ordered.

Duplex Printing with Brother Printer

I Had this Printer for nearly three weeks First and foremost its software installation was a cinch. Secondly I immediately looked into its duplex printing aspect that really made me happy as we get both sides printed in one single saan of the document. That precisely was not the case with my earlier Brother Printer Mod: DCP 8065DN that needed each side scan separately and after some usage it started missing some portion of document on the other side. This one seems ok to resolve that issue. IN total I have three Brother Printers.
