Very happy with purchase

It works very well, easy to operate etc. It is tall and does have a large foot print, so it will take up desk space. The support is excellent. I have no complaints.

Had issues with another MFC-8710DW and they sent us a replacement that was just as bad.

this is the fastest printer i have ever owned. the print is very crisp.e-mailing hard to do. wish it came with 2 paper trays.kansas

Fast and simple

Great Black & White All-in-One

The appeal was printing from my phone wirelessly. I do not have time to run to my computer to print things that I need. I love it & would advise anyone to buy it for the price! Make sure you get the high yield toner!

Great machine!

This is a GREAT machine and a terrific addition to our church facility. The machine is simple to use and produces precise copies. I do wish it had a personnel password and counter to be able to track which department is making copies and to see the total amount of copies made for tracking toner, etc.

Firmware Issues

With the help of a Brother technician I assigned the manual feed tray as Legal Size. When I print a pdf that contains letter and legal size documents, the printer consistently jams whenever it switches to legal from the manual tray. The first legal page is ok, but it will jam on the 2nd page (if there are 2 consecutive legal pages to print).
The Brother technician said I should try returning the printer for a different 8710DW, but the replacement printer had the same issue.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Excellent product -- ultra short warmup, very fast printing and scanner, fast feeder. I recommend this product to anyone who needs an all-one black and white printer, scanned, fax, copier
