nothing special

There is nothing special about this all in one. It is not easy to program, or if you are looking for something in the menu it is hard to navigate. This is just a simple all in one that is expensive.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Have used Brother printers for years and this was to replace a similar model. Very easy to install and gives a great "print" quickly.

Easy fast install and it works

It took me about 10 minutes, mostly unpacking before I had the printer connected to my home network and printed some iPad documents and Safari pages.
The duplex feature is great for saving paper and the AirPrint capability makes printing from your iOS devices a breeze.
I would recommend this printer to everyone.

great for the price

bought to replace an older model that got knocked out by lightning; these brother machines are the best for home or small business. they perform well and last(at least until lightning strikes), and are reasonable to operate

This is a fine product and the only failing I can detect is the receiving tray for printing heavier stock does not extend far enough to prevent documents from falling on the floor.

Great all in one

I bought the MFC 8710DW a few months ago. I have a small mortgage company and needed something that could print numerous pages and scan closing documents quickly. This is a great machine. I am very pleased with it.
