This is the best all-in-one product for the very small home office/business. It produces "big office" copies and prints, and smoothly prints and copies on both sides of a sheet of paper.
Although the price may be a little steep for the smallest home office/business, it is worth it for the professional quality of its output.

Disappointed

This machine has been a big disappointment. It runs hot and does not have a print cancel button. We have used Brother for years with great satisfaction. Our previous machine was the MFC 8890DW and I sure do miss it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Not reliable

I have purchased a number of these machines for my companys branch locations. We have had 4 break down either just at the one year mark or just after. This leaves our locations with out a dependable printer as Brother offers either an exchange for a used machine or repair. The sevice centers are not local to many of our offices so we had to have the machines shipped to us and taken to a local center. I also had to send two back to the purchaser , because there was an issue with them the minute we started using them. All the machines had the same issue, paper jamming in the rear of the machine. Very dissapointed with the quality and dependability

This One Won't Get Thrown Through The Window

Been using this printer for about 9 months now and I have to admit it's a keeper. I use it in a retail office environment. It has been very dependable. Had to call customer service during set-up for a minor setting. If I had taken the time to read the manual, probably would have solved it myself. One small irritation, I use the multi-function tray for lots of different types. One of them is a card stock postcard. It does a great job on those - but put a few #10 envelopes in that tray, and if you use 5 you've reached the max. It's an office - we need lots of envelopes. So far the cartridges have been lasting longer than expected. All in all - one of the best I've used in a very long time. I will be looking closer at Brother products for future purchases.

Disappointed with this All-in-One

I have owned several Brother printers over the years and have been very happy with them until this product. From the beginning we had problems with having to replace the toner every few weeks. When calling support services we were instructed to reset the paper usage when the low toner light came on. This seemed to work for a while, but it is time consuming to have to do this. I am really sorry that we purchased this machine.

Fine with limitations

As a primary printer for my law office this is a fine printer. As a wireless printer for my laptop it has not been adequate. I have tried numerous times to connect wirelessly and failed. Now I just connect with the USB port. A pain, but at least I can print my docs.

Good printer for the price.

For a home office machine, the feeder is pretty dependable. Nice when you have a big stack to copy or scan. Do buy the larger version of the toner cartridge. I go through the small ones quickly and they are not as good a value as the big ones. As of now, I use brother printers when I need a laser.
