Great as expected

We purchased this unit to replace another Brother MFC. that unit had worked for many years and indeed still works, we were faced with replacing the drum and decided to replace the unit when we saw the cost of the drum.
I would recommend this to a friend!

THIS PRINTER IS WASTING TONER. THE PRINT IS SET AS LOW AS I CAN SET IT AND IT IS STILL DARKER THAN THE FORMS I AM COPYING. I NEED TO REPLACE IT WITH A BETTER MACHINE!

My wife has the color version of this machine and I needed a high volume all in one.
This machine works wonderfully and no problems so far.

A big disappointment and mistake.

This printer has been a total failure. If I had bought a printer that was builtt 100 years ago it would have been better. I haven't been able to use the WiFi since I bought it. I downloaded the software according to instructions and it has never worked properly. I called support to get help and the person helping me was on the phone with me for hours trying to uninstall and reinstall the software. It still did not work. In the end, the phone call ended with the matter not resolved. l have been trying to use the printer manually and hooking up my computer to the the printer 2 feet away. What a waste! I have been trying to return the printer at Staples where I bought it. I was told to call Brother and get a replacement or a refund. It has been a total trial for me. Even when I am trying to print regularly, it would stall and say "Offline" though I am not using Wifi... ???? Not sure why. Also it is so slow that it would stop and take days to print. I would come back a few days later and find something I was trying to print days before sitting at the printer. The scanner does not work as well. The picture quality for photo is poor. There are loads of other issues that I don't have time to explain. I would never recommend this printer to anyone.

This is my second Brother MFC the first one I have had for 4 years 80k copies and still working.i replaced it with this MFC8810. i move the old one rto an other office with less use.

I was getting tired of using a USB Drive to scan documents until your offices guided me to download an application on my Android Cel Phone - I won't be needing any USB drives for day to day scanning/emailing documents to and from our MFC-8710DW. As a complaint - Why does my PCs connection via Internet/Wireless get lost from one day to another and Why??

LOVE the printer BUT

this is a great laser printer, I have nothing bad to say about it. The only compliant I have is the cost for the extra tray. If you want a dual tray buy one with both trays it is cheaper than this for an extra 4210.
