Having owned many other printers over the 35 years we have been in business, this appears to be one of the best. I am very pleased with speed, versatility and cost of this unit.

Less than expected!

We had another Brother MFC pinter and it was GREAT. This one locks up at least once daily. We have to turn the power off and then back on to get it to print. When you are used to one working GREAT without ANY problems for years and you replace it with one that "Brother" recommended, you are majorly disapointed.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This seems to be a great unit for the money. I use all aspects of the unit fax,scan wireless print etc. Great quality fast copies fast scan. replacement catriges are inexpenpsive. This is as of being 1 month old hope it continues.

Pleased with printer

The printer is fast. We really like being able to copy to email.
One glitch we learned the hard way. If you have ground fault on the circuit where you plug the printer into, the printer's ground fault will trip the breaker. Our printer is currently set up in the foyer until we have the ground fault removed from the wiring going to our study.

Noisy

The fan is very noisy. It continues to run in the cool down mode for about 15 minutes after it stops printing but the fan in the cool down mode is still very loud. I have had many other Brother MFC's and this is the first time I have had this problem. Technical support said that this is just how it is.

Set up with wireless connection easily, had to contact tech support to get it to work with an answering machine, and couldn't get it to fax to e-mail.
