As a student and athlete, this backpack is sturdy enough to handle my daily packing needs. I pack my laptop, workout gear and books at one time. I use to need several bags to do this job. The padding is great on this bag too. I have no complaints. I think I made an great purchase.
Pros: Comfortable, Easy To Load, Excellent Quality, Good Padding, Highly Adjustable, Large Capacity / Good Size, Lightweight
I would recommend this to a friend!

I buy High Sierra for my two elementary age kids. They last ALL year, including the times I use them. I recommend them to anyone who wants something that will still survive school year torture.
Pros: Comfortable, Easy To Load, Good Padding, Highly Adjustable, Large Capacity / Good Size, Lightweight

Best backpack that I've owned till date. Someone broke into my car window and stole it :( had no issues with it whatsoever. The access 2.0 however looks like a downgrade compared to this... Wondering which backpack I should go for next...

The rain cover is a real bonus

Bought one for both of my students for college. Not only is the backpack roomy and comfortable with well thought out compartments and zippers, but the added bonus is the rain cover! That was the top reason for deciding on this backpack. Just one time in the pouring rain, waiting for a bus, walking to class, or hiking, proves its usefulness. Now I am going to purchase one for my nephew.
Pros: Comfortable, Easy To Load, Good Padding, Highly Adjustable, Large Capacity / Good Size, Lightweight

I purchased this backpack while enrolled in the nursing program in college. I had went through two backpacks that I had purchased at a local department store the previous school year. This backpack was not only larger, but much more durable. The shoulder strap suspension system is great. Heavy loads are no problem. The shoulder straps feel very natural and don't slide around as much as the cheaper ones. In fact, this backpack lasted my last two years of school, and I still currently use it for outdoor adventures. I plan on buying another when this one finally bites the dust (if it ever does).
Pros: Comfortable, Easy To Load, Good Padding, Highly Adjustable, Large Capacity / Good Size, Lightweight, Very Durable

An Okay Backpack...

I would recommend this backpack for someone who hikes or doesn't have to bring a lot of books to school. As a student, this backpack is too small for the amount of books I have to bring to school. I have to bring a LOT of books to school (like it's a workout for anyone to pick up my backpack amount) and my books barely fit. I originally got this backpack because it was the biggest one I could find at the store, so it is big, just not big enough for my purposes. I've been using this backpack for a year and some of the straps that are supposed to more tightly secure the backpack to me have already broke and the ones that haven't just dangle and hit my legs (because I don't have time to strap myself in before going to my next class). Also, this backpack is not the lightest because of all of the padding and the waterproof covering (which is a problem when everything is already very heavy). The waterproof covering is handy when it rains, but since I live in a place where it doesn't rain much, it's just extra weight. The padding is very cushy and useful as a pillow for when you're taking a nap on the bus though. There are also two zippers that go to the same pocket, which still sometimes confuse me when I'm trying to get something quickly out of my backpack. Overall, I think this backpack is best suited for hikers or those who don't carry around that much stuff. For those of you like me and have an insane amount of books you need to carry everyday, I recommend a Jansport bag, which is light and big (but not as fancy as this bag).
Cons: Heavy To Begin With, Small Capacity, Tears Easily
