This was given to me as a Christmas gift and I just started using it to trim some unwanted hairs. The trimmer I used before would nick and scratch my skin, sometimes causing it to bleed. I have not had this problem since I started using the Norelco Bodygroomer.
Philips Norelco Bodygroom 3100 does a decent job removing body hair. It does this without cutting the skin. A shave and trim without the pain afterwards.
Been using this grooming tool for years, gives a great trim!
Pros: lightweight, trims well
Cons: top falls off at points if to much pressure

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a cordless body groomer with Ni/Mh batteries. It runs for about 45 minutes on a charge which should be plenty for most people. I found it took longer to charge than the one hour claimed. It comes with one 3mm (1/8") guard which doesn't offer you much in the way of choice of length. I found it to cut fairly well but both with and without the guard it requires multiple passes to cut all the hair. But it did not catch on hair or skin so did not cause discomfort. It includes a plastic handle insert that allows one to reach far down on legs or to your back. While it works it would be much more useful with multiple guards.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Hi!
Thank you for taking the time to write a review! We appreciate the feedback. The charging time as described on the manual should take approximately 8 hours until full charge from a completely empty battery.
We appreciate the feedback also regarding the guards. This specific product does indeed come with one guard. If you would like we could also look into finding solutions for you if you reach out to us with social media.

Possibly a good massager, but a bad razor.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] What sold me on this item was the bi-directional shaving - the back attachment is a nice gimmick, but meh. "What a time saver!" I thought, being able to literally shave any which way and just get the grooming done. Welll...nope. This is a pathetically ineffective shaving device. When attempting to groom my spouse's...lower grooming area...it took forever to get any real progress going. Might as well have used scissors and a cartridge razor. A fluke, maybe, so let's try the armpit (lower hair density). Stillllll not effective. Take the guard off and try again? Great, now it's not effective AND our skin is irritated.
Well, maybe it's still just a fluke, right? Maybe it's not so much a grooming tool as it is a maintenance tool, for already-shaved areas. Tried on my face, with barely any stubble, and hardly noticed a difference. WITHOUT the guard. It just sucks.
This was at a full charge, mind you, and this thing couldn't do the job in any of our tests. Unimpressed.
