Samsung Galaxy Nexus

This is the phone I was waiting for for the longest time. I was patient and it paid off big-time. The features and the performance all equal or exceed the expectations. I was even able to get it for a very reasonable price on a two-year contract and purchased through Amazon. In fact, we bought two -- one for myself and one for my wife -- so technically this is an ownership and review of two of the same device. Both my wife and I are exceedingly happy with it -- and I am a I.T. professional and she is a computer novice, so it says a lot that this high-tech phone can please such a wide array of people. I can only hope that they come out with a new Galaxy Tab 10.1" with 32GB or more of RAM which has all the features this phone does!
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Inexpensive, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight, high def, met all expectations
I would recommend this to a friend!

Excellent All-around Smartphone!

This is by far the best phone that I have ever owned. I've been an android phone since day one, and I have always had problems here and there with all of my previous phones until the Samsung Galaxy S Vibrant came out. Even then, I had a slight problem with the screen resolution and the bloatware that T-mobile had installed on it. The Galaxy Nexus is the Galaxy S with a much better screen and much more simple design. One of my favorite features of this phone is how the screen fits so well in the housing, not too much extra space around the screen itself. The phone is also shaped very well for such a big phone. Thin and light, but it is also curved so it is much easier to hold onto and get to everything you need to holding it with only one hand. I also love how simple and smooth Ice Cream Sandwich is. By far the best Android OS to date.
I am a phone junky and I was watching the various websites waiting for this phone. I purchased it almost on the day it was launched and I have not looked back since. I live in an area where I can occasionally pick up a 4G signal and when I do the phones performance is blazing fast. With the use of some apps to control what launches and remains running in the background I have been able to get reasonable battery life. I am still learning all of the features of ICS and I am sure I have only just tapped the potential of this phone. I absolutely love it and that is saying something for someone that trades up at least once a year.
Pros: Bright display, Lightweight
Cons: battery life

The Best Phone Available Now

After owning the nexus for a couple months now, I can with no reservations say it is the best phone I've ever owned. The display is beautiful and so is the design of the phone itself. It also performs with a snappiness that no other phone I've owned has. The only real downside is battery if your in a 4G area. All in all I highly recommend this phone for any fan of Android.
Pros: Bright display, Lightweight
Cons: battery

SHORTCUTS

What's missing is a shortcut to your voicemail. They have a pull down screen on your front page that will show all messages but only if they are new. If you want to retrieve your voice mail you have to go to your phone icon then to the dial pad icon then enter *86 then dial then enter your password to do this you have to hit the number kepad icon, too many steps. It would be nice to click on a VM shortcut from your front page and have a nuber pad open up to enter your password or an option to open your VM from your phone automatically since your phone itself can be password protected.
