Was extremely excited about the release of this phone and I have to say it lived up to expectations. Loving Android 4.0. The soft keys are a welcome change. The only gripes are very minor: screen has poor look on low brightness but I don't mind the extra battery drain keeping it on bright, the screen looks amazing like that. No removable memory, I understand it saves room I'm just use to being able to pull out an sd card. Screen size is nice and it doesn't feel huge overall.
Pros: Bright display, Lightweight, android 4.0, no/minimal carrier bloat., it's a nexus device!
I would recommend this to a friend!

The phone rocks the new ICS OS. The phone in general is very fast. The screen is absolutely incredible and second to no other device out there. The battery life is average even with the extended battery. Which is something I hope will improve once updates start to roll out. Speaker volume is mediocre but liveable. Over all the Phone is great and definitely worth getting. The camera although it's not today's average of 8 mp the 5 mp is done right and takes better pictures than most of the 8 meg cams I have seen out there.
Pros: Bright display, Durable, Lightweight, 720p screen, fast camera
Cons: battery life is average, speaker volume

Best Phone I've ever had

This phone is by far the best I've had. Love the Android ICS!! Love that its a Nexus with no Touch Wiz or Motorblur or any other junk on it to take away from the Android operating system!!
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Realistic color, Lightweight

I bought this device because I am an Android fanatic. A person I know recommended the device because he had a Nexus device. I am very pleased to say so far my expectations have been exceeded greatly!

Great but not an iPhone killer

Overall this is a great phone.
I am a big guy and I have some big mits to I choose to wait all summer for the iPhone 4S to see if I would like it. Problem: the iPhone is too small. Other Problem: the iPhone is not 4G LTE.
This phone fits me perfectly and I really like it. But apparently I like it too much. The battery life is atrocious. I can't believe I get just a half day out of it. I will have to grab an aftermarket fat hog of a battery which is extremely disappointing for an already expensive phone.
The other epic failure is the weak speaker. I can barely hear notifications when they are turned up all the way (and no I'm not deaf ;-) ). I can't watch any videos without using headphones because the sound is so weak coming out of the phone.
Also, the camera falls short too. They should've put a 8MB camera in it if it wasn't going to be able to take that great of photos. That way I could at least shrink them down to give them the appearance of being clean photos. The S 2 is definitely better at photos.
Everything else is phenomenal. I love the screen clarity and how fast/smooth the OS functions. I'm glad I have it but it just isn't the David to take down the Goliath that the iPhone has become (or will be next year).
Pros: Realistic color, Lightweight
Cons: Did not meet expectations, poor battery life, built-in speakers

Great Features, Slack Design

I love this phone and I'm sure the next two years we spend together will be nothing short of magical. Ice Cream Sandwich is the best version of Android to date and the hardware inside this thing just makes the experience that much more enjoyable. And the screen...brilliant.
The only thing that takes away from this 5-star rating (albeit just slightly for me) is the build quality. The plastics make it light and portable for sure, but I think it would have really set this phone apart had Samsung decided to use premium materials. My power button also feels a little squishy already, which worries me that it may become unresponsive down the road.
Only time will tell and my Nexus and I are going to be spending a great deal of that together.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Lightweight
Cons: basic build materials, squishy buttons
