I've had the phone for 7 days now. It has shut off on it's own at least 20 times. There is no rhyme or reason to it. It has even happened while on a very important call.
I will try to exchange it for another Galaxy Nexus as I really do like everything else about it, except that Swype isn't yet working. The screen is beautiful. It is super fast. It's a bit quirky with Google Voice as it doesn't seem to be getting all the voicemail. I don't find the size of the phone too unwieldy and my hands are fairly small as a 5' tall woman. It requires two hands to do most things, but so did my Eris which was much smaller.
Hopefully there is a fix I can find that will keep the phone turned on as I don't want to give it up.
Cons: turns off on it's own

I waited for this phone for months. Now that I have it, the hype wasn't worth it. The power/screen lock button is opposite the volume button so you constantly hit both when trying to operate the phone. I rarely, if ever got 4G when other devices right next to me and on my provider would. The voice quality is poor. When you unlock the phone, 85% of the time it goes straight to the camera. Camera quality is bad. There are NO accessories, like a true car dock available in the US yet. The battery life is absolutely horrible. I would NOT recommend this phone to anyone.

Nice Display/Poor performance

Great looking HD display and fast processor. Poor phone/data reception, battery life, ringer/speaker, and features. While it feels good to hold, its size is complete overkill. A bigger screen is nice, but a giant screen is to the extreme. Ice Cream Sandwich also leaves very much to be redesigned. Returning to verizon tomorrow after using for 1 week. I look forward to using my 2 year old 1st Motorola Droid ever produced. Slow and old it maybe, but it's much more funtional and reliable than the Nexus :-(

dropped calls and poor signal

Cant make a call without the call being dropped. Who ever I call they hear clicking before the call fades away. I absolutely awful.
Signal strength is awful as well.

It doesn;t quit live up to all the hype. Despite the reviews saying its fast, I find it laggy. My battery life seems better then what the reviewers got. Id say you can get 8-10 hours of medium use out of a charge. The LTE speed really dissapointing. 4-8 down 5-10 up (well up is amazing). Its not the VZW network either, I tested it over wifi and the fastest the phone would pull down was 15mpbs.
I wasn't happy when I heard they got ride of mass storage mode, but using MTP doesn't really seem to have any impact on functionality.
It's light and not as big as I expected
Amazing screen, and Ice Cream Sandwich rocks

A Decent phone but has cons;

First let me say I like the over all phone and would recommend it but I have discerning taste when it comes to the newest tech out.
Pros:
Fast, Screen is spectacular, New OS is running well so far. I think that the new OS is a good design and with a few more tweaks and bugs fixes (Bluetooth to mention one) it will be more favorable than the apple iOS; Just my non bias opinion everyone so apple heads don't freak on me.
Cons:
Large, and fat. Especially if you put a case on it. OMG it looks Fat. It does have its bugs being its the new OS. Three freezes for me. Feels a little plasticy, and could be a little more solid of a build if you ask me. Battery Life BAD. Camera is washed out colors and all around average to poor quality in day and low light shots.
Conclusion:
Good Phone, Cool new OS, Great Screen, Very fast, and an overall winner for the Year.

I have been waiting on the Samsung Galaxy Nexus for awhile now. I am extremely happy with the performance and functionality of this smartphone. Its fast, sleek, android 4.0 is an exceptional upgrade to the operating system. I have not found any negatives on this phone. The screen is gorgeous! I would recommend it to anyone!
