with little on the web regarding how to personalize this phone, and little to no support from sales staff with actual usable knowledge regarding this phone, it has been, and will be a work in progress to individualize and personalize this phone to my use and likeness.
Well executed phone. Comfortable in the hand. Smooth as silk performance. BEAUTIFUL display. Flawless!
I would recommend this to a friend!

Most individuals who purchase this phone are likely power-users who take certain "liberties" with the installed software and ROM. I start with this to explain the perfect rating in spite of Verizon's LTE issues as well as some quirks specific to this phone. The UI itself (Ice Cream Sandwich 4.0.2) is smooth, the screen is gorgeous and highly responsive and the phone over all is lightning quick.
The dimensions of the phone are both ample and diminutive in all the right places. The curved glass has made the screen-protector after-market's variety a little slow on the uptake, but there are certainly great options already.
I am a huge fan of this phone and can only find a few gripes to mention, none with Google directly. I find that is relevant because the Nexus line is their flagship line, and this is currently the flagship line's flagship. It is ensured to represent the best possible device.
The issues relate to Verizon and their decision to block Google Wallet and their reception issues with the radio in this device. The Wallet apk can be easily obtained and side-loaded without even rooting, it was clearly not a compatibility issue. Also, the LTE network and the co-existence with legacy networks has issues. Sometimes the phone will refuse to connect to LTE even when in a well-covered LTE area until you reboot. Additionally, there are signal strength issues at times which are due to actual issues rather than mis-reporting the signal strength on the device as Verizon has stated.
Samsung also is attributed for my one remaining issue and that is app availability. There are a number of apps released for the Galaxy S2 line which are not available to this phone for no reason other than they've locked them out. Specifically disappointing are the apps which take advantage of owning a Samsung Smart TV. All the synergies which make each so appealing are removed for no apparent reason.
All in all these are mostly minor and I strongly recommend this device without hesitation.
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color, Lightweight, google controlled development
Cons: verizon's "google wallet" deceptions, network connectivity / radio issues, samsung smarttv integration locked out
I would recommend this to a friend!

love the nexus. so user friendly and super sexy design. with a big screen but thin and tough. very fast phone .
Great phone with awesome features but has a few big glitches. Here are some problems that I experienced. - phone resets randomly - data drops during calls - keyboard is just okay still needs work - calls randomly drop - speakers a little weak - phone is way to powerful for the battery - back cover warps and is flimsy - camera has no delay which is great... but doesn't auto-focus fast enough - compatibility problems with some apps
Hopefully Google can fix most of this stuff with Android 4.1
I've been a Samsung customer for a very long time and about 2 years as a smartphone customer. I have definitely seen the ups and downs in their products and this is the first Samsung device I've owned that I have no complaints about.
Over the last 18 months since the launch of the Galaxy S line, I've watched Samsung grow as a company. They've taken their customers criticisms and praise seriously and the result of this is the Galaxy Nexus. It's as if they read my mind and built a phone exactly how I wanted it.
When upgrading from my Palm Pre to the Nexus, I had some concerns. I have a galaxy 10.1 tablet and have been very happy with the product so I wanted to go with Samsung. I have always wanted smallish smart phones (about 8 years of smart starting with treos). The size of the Nexus concerned me. It does fit in my pants pocket which is great when I don't bring a purse.
The display is unbelievable and the reason I selected this device.
As an added bonus, all my apps from the tablet came across easy peasy (which was a surprise to me). The screen is large enough that the games I love on the tablet can be played on the phone.
Of course, the time of smart phone batteries lasting days or even a week are long gone. I would love a longer lasting battery. The additional battery isn't that much longer.
Overall, contrary to what others have posted, I feel the device is sturdier than I expected - feels tougher in my hand. So far, I am quite happy with my purchase.
