Amazing phone but poor battery life

So far I've enjoyed using the phone. Much cooler than my daughter's smart phone, but battery life seems to be an issue. I'm not at all a heavy user, but the battery does not make it through the day for me. I've changed some settings to see if that helps. Waiting on a fix to allow the phone to truly sleep when not in use.
Pros: Bright display, Lightweight, nice design
Cons: battery life
I would recommend this to a friend!

Not perfection but a close second

I waited for this phone and not to my surprise I was not disappointed at all. The phone itself is simply amazing and other than the fact that many apps have not been optimized for ICS and there is no external storage card everything is flawless from the multitasking to the face unlock and all of the other features I've neglected to name because there are so many. coming from someone who had the original android software to froyo, to gingerbread, to now, this phone is an absolute hit.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Inexpensive, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight, reasonable battery life
Cons: no external sd card
I would recommend this to a friend!

The best phone I have ever owned. My wife dosent like smartphones and she wants one.

I've been using the Galaxy Nexus for almost a month now and have little to nothing negative to say about the device.
The build is solid yet it's very light both in hand and worn, such as in a pant or jacket pocket. The screen is breathtaking, it's responsive, never locks up or freezes on me, and moving between programs/features is a breeze with Verizon's LTE network blowing me away at its speed. My only negative here is Verizon has yet to fully stabilize its LTE network so there are random moments where it's not up and my phone turns into a brick, but this is also to be expected since Verizon is one of the first major carries to launch a 4G network so there are bound to be bugs to work out.
People were complaining about the 5MP camera and how low bar it is, but honestly I think it's pretty great. It takes clear vibrant pictures and does it fast while making it super easy to quickly upload to my favorite sites such as Google Plus and Facebook or fire it off via an email or text message.
The battery life could be better but I knew going into this purchase it would not be ideal as technology in the smart phone industry is advancing two to three times faster then battery performance and innovation. I recently bought the extended battery so like my previous Android phones I'll use the standard as my primary and have a fully charged extended battery as backup.
All in all if you're an Android user and fan, want the best available Android smart phone out there for the money and the only Android phone that will get the best software support of any Android device, the Galaxy Nexus is for you.

Great phone!

I have owned this phone for a couple weeks now and think it is awesome. I read some bad reviews about its camera lacking megapixels, but I think it takes great pictures. It focuses quickly and accurately. ICS is awesome. My wife has an iphone and I like my phone a lot better.
