Fun for all ages!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My boys (8 and 12) have enjoyed the Air Hogs FPV car very much! It got them out of the house so much that the husband decided to join them. It is simple to use for everyone. They are now asking for another one to have races! The neighborhood kids also love it and one has it on his Christmas list.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Airhogs FPV High Speed Remote Control Car is engaging enough to keep kids and kids at heart entertained! The RC car works well both indoors and outdoors. The frame is very well made and it can survive multiple run-ins with curbs, walls, doors, etc. The visor/app incorporates a new fun way to enjoy FPV. It really makes it feel like you are driving behind the wheel!! The visor isn't very adjustable, so it didn't fit my 8 year old daughter's head very well. It was too big. But it easily fit my 12 year old, me, and my husband. The car can move very quickly which makes it fun to do fast turns. One other complaint is with the camera. While outside playing with the car, it started to turn into dusk. There was still plenty of light to the naked eye, but it became impossible to see from a FPV- it was way too dark. The battery has a life of about 10-15 before needing to be recharged and has a distance of about 50 feet from the control before losing its signal. I would highly recommend, though!

Great Gift

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I thought this car was very entertaining. After chasing the dogs and getting the hang of the remote we had a blast with an obstacle course. We even took this outside and it performed well. It did not do well on grass but it is a race car. The car was very well constructed. The App for your phone was incredibly easy to download and sync with the car. The goggles take a little getting used to but the effort is well worth it. My son and I thought it was really cool to see from the perspective of the toy! Easy, no assembly toy. If you have the batteries handy it's one of those toys you can take out of the box and immediately play with. Everything in the photo is what comes in the box. Yes, it even came charged. It would not surprise me if this was the top, must have toy of the season.

Air Hogs FPV Car - Awesome !

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This race car is totally awesome. Just having the ability to watch where you are going opens up a whole new ball game in the RC car racing game. It is so easy that my nephew who is 7 years old played it well. It definitely keeps my teenage amused and my spouse who is 50 + years old, he loves it too. They have made videos of driving the car all through the house. This is the best Air Hogs product that I have ever came across. I see Holiday gifts in the future. Thumbs up to this product !!

Air Hog Dream Car

I gave it to him Friday and in short order he had mastered the machine. We now know what is under his bed, and he and his brother play hide and seek in the house. WOW

Super fun even for us old folks

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I managed to set this up by myself which is no small task. I got to play with it for about 2 minutes before my foster son and husband took over. We build a little obstacle course and races through it. Then we loaded other VR stuff and used the glasses on their own- also lots of fun. I work with teens and they were all so excited to try this. I have been brining it to work with me everyday for the past week and a half and it still gets passed around. I wish it had a longer charge, but using the camera probably uses ups lot of juice. This thing is a ton of fun for the whole family even if you aren't real tech savvy like me.

My boys loved this!

I was very easy to set up - I even let my ten year old and his friend take the lead in setting it up! That's how straightforward it was! I only had to help with batteries in the remote control, which was also easy! They have really enjoyed racing it all over our neighborhood. When asked, they said their favorite part was how fast the car went, the virtual reality part, and the fact that it seemed be able to go from sidewalk to at least pretty short grass. I haven't even been able to snap a pic because they use my smart phone to control it. I will also say that I notice when they are not using it, it's plugged in, so it's ready to go next time! I cannot speak to durability as we have only had it about a week, but so far a boy hit with the neighborhood boys. If I would list a con, it would be that there is no plug included to directly charge it at a wall plug. They suggest using the USB Cord included to plug into a computer, but I'm not having a car plugged into my laptop all the time :) we found an old wall plug adapter and it works fine no big deal. Overall, fun toy, my kids really enjoy it!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Air Hogs FPV Car - Amazing!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am the proud mother of a busy, outdoor-crazy, remote-control-car-loving, 9-year old boy. The Air Hogs FPV car is the perfect addition to our remote control car collection and quite different from the others. Why does my son choose this car from his closet first every day? Because he feels like he is driving the race car! You will need a cell phone or other small, handheld device to reap the full driving benefits of this car. If you don't connect it to a phone, it will just function like any other good, remote control car. It works by downloading an app and then connecting to the car through the phone/device's bluetooth. Once connected and phone placed inside of the driving goggles, you are able take the drivers perspective as the car races down the road. My son and his friends absolutely love this car! You can even video and photograph from the car itself (see attached picture of the car's photo of my son outside). The car holds its charge through heavy use for about 20-30 minutes and then takes about an hour to an hour and a half to recharge. The app is simple to download and the connection with bluetooth is instantaneous. The driving goggles are sturdy, but heavy, so a smaller person might get fatigued quickly trying to keep a little head held up while driving. The only disadvantage to this car would be if your child doesn't have their own device. I used my phone for the first day or so but realized I may never see my phone again with such frequent use, so plugged in an old phone and downloaded the app to that. It worked great and now he's completely independent! My son says its "as tough as nails," and believe me - he would know. He has run it down the street, off the curb, through the grass, and into about every wall in our home. The controls are basic and simple to use. The car can go forward, backward, and make sharp turns. My son can sit in his bedroom and race the car all over the house without moving an inch. It's pretty cool to cook dinner and have a car drive up and snap a photo of you! My 11-year old daughter begs to drive this car as well. Just about every neighborhood child ages 6-12 has tried this car and loves it. And when the kids are asleep....my husband and I have some fun driving too (shhh - don't tell.)
