Dumb smart stove

We purchased this about a year and a half ago. This is the worst stove I have ever owned. It looks nice but that's the only plus. This store is a nightmare. There were no reviews when I purchased or I wouldn't have. The oven takes 2.5 hours to cook boneless chicken, the oven will switch back and forth from name to broil on it's own and ruin your food. You can not control the range top temperature. If you don't stand there constantly stirring it will burn your food. It is not self cleaning. The rubber strip in the panel is always coming out. I turned off work so it does burn my house down. This is a horrible oven. I will never buy another Whirlpool again. Very unhappy.

Very disappointed for the money I spent!!!

Screen went off in the middle of cooking dinner, now it is ruined. Only way to get screen to work is to turn one of the burners on and then it finally boots up. Even though the burner is on, it actually is not and never gets hot. The oven will not turn off either. Not happy and it is only 6mths old....should have known better than to buy the first smart oven on the market. So much for buying all top of the line Whirlpool appliances....smh I kind of wonder when the microwave is going to do the same thing.

I hate this stove.

I purchased this stove a little over 6 months ago, in August 2018. I hate this stove. It was a total waste of money. The control panel is ridiculous. Not user friendly. It freezes and locks up to the point that you have to kill the circuit breaker to regain control of the oven. In the event that even the slightest drop of moisture hits the screen it completely goes haywire. I have had the stove turn itself on, to roast a lamb, by itself, when we weren’t even using the appliance; walked into the kitchen, and there it was at temp, saying cooking lamb. It has switched itself to store demo mode twice, at which point you want to smash it with a hammer trying to get it back out of store demo mode. It bakes so uneven, and I have to add time to every recipe I have ever baked. Baking now is a complete guessing game. Nothing ever cooks in what any recipe calls for. The timer chime, if you arent standing in front of it, you will never hear it.
In December 2018, a little over 3 months after I purchased this stove, the front control panel and the inner control panel were both replaced under warranty. I was told at the time I essentially had a new oven as the brains were completely changed out. I was also told that day, when I was complaining about the front panel going haywire if it gets wet, or when its being wiped down, “oh you can’t get that wet”. Who has ever heard of s stove top that can’t get wet? Moisture happens when you cook, pots boil over and spit. Its so Frustrating. The control panel is always messed up. Since the day the control panels where replaced, I’ve never been able to reconnect to the whirlpool app even though the stove says it is connected. I finally called today about that, out of frustration, and while on the phone the screen locked up yet again, and had to reboot with the circuit breaker, which at least led to the whirlpool tech saying you need service. So now I have a technician coming here again next week, for the 2nd time in less than 3 months on a $2000 stove that’s only 6 months old.
I am about ready to cut my losses and junk this thing and purchase yet another new stove. If I could return it I would, in a second. Don’t buy this stove. You’ll regret it as much as I do I’m sure.

Oven control problems

Unit has been in use for 6 months, had to power cycle unit 5 times to operate contro;s after they "froze" rendering oven inoperable. Service call ordered, tech not familiar with this new unit smart controls. Canceled follow up visit when unit operated normally,Has now required power cycle again, another service scheduled. Would not recommend this unit. We bought refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, washer, dryer, and this range for our new home. range, in fairness, has been only problem.

We did a kitchen reno in March 2020. I bought 3 new whirlpool products for a reason. The best reviews etc. I have been so disappointed with our range- slide in, ceramic stovetop, THE WORSE EVER TO CLEAN!! I have bought all products suggested and there is constant smears, never looks clean. I am so disappointed. I would never purchase this again. My husband works with appliance care people and home renovation everyone now has said this is the worse product finish ever. If ANYONE has advice I would love to hear it please. HELP

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] At the time of purchase did not realize that the stove had to be hooked up to the wi-fi upon delivery it took me a while to figure out how to become connected. In the past when purchasing ranges there are usually broiler pans included, this time none were provided.
Beware that the control panels are super sensitive in which wiping them down you may inevitably turn a burner on or be offered cooking instruction.
Otherwise we are getting use to the features and as senior citizens getting use to them

Not thrilled

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We replaced a KitchenAid range with this one, I wanted a cleaner look with controls at the front and a slide in. I am used to a ceramic cook top but thos one appeasr more difficlut to keep clean and the whole top gets very hot. I know that is specifies this in the manual. Also do not like the total oven control by touch as if you wipe that area while cooking something the oven turns off. My brother has a similar Whirlpool slide in range but is older model two years old and controls are angled and the whole surface where controls are is not glass.

Most idiotic purchase ever!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The stove is beautiful. However its not for someone that uses a stove on a daily basic. The touch panel on the front is too sensitive, Ive ruined several dishes by accidentally shutting off the oven. Even a spatter of water or grease turns the oven off. Also, Ive had problems starting the oven and when I questioned this was told it was probably due to low WiFi at the time and I will admit the WiFi light came on. So a oven that wont start when the internet is off. Shuts off if you accidentally touch the panel. The stove is going back to the store and getting replaced with a different brand.. after the help desk staff told me the warranty didnt cover “Buyers Remorse”!
