Nice looking range but beware the cleaning

We bought this range last summer and can say that it is a great looking range, cooks everything evenly and the large capacity with three racks makes cooking for a large group easy. A few big complaints that I have with this range though are to do with cleaning: 1. If you are someone who tries to clean as you go you have to be very careful with this range top as the controls are very sensitive so you can very inadvertently turn off the oven when wiping down the stovetop which could be a big problem if you do not notice it right away. 2. The stovetop and controls are very difficult to keep clean and constantly look streaked. So what I have found myself doing is cleaning the stovetop as normal with a dishcloth and then cleaning it a second time with non-chemical class cleaner once the stovetop has cooled. 3. Probably the biggest disappointment is that the “AquaLift self-clean technology” isn't actually an oven self cleaning feature. I thought that the water that you pour into the bottom of the oven to use this feature would turn to steam and clean the oven and at the very least you have to wipe out the remnants. However, after I used this feature I had to soak up the remnants of dirty water in the bottom of the oven and the oven was not really any cleaner than before the cycle was started. I contacted Whirlpool and they told me that “The AuqaLift feature is made to loosen any stains and debris to make cleaning the unit easier”. I confirmed with them that this means that AquaLift Self-Clean feature is meant to assist with the manual cleaning of the oven and there isn't actually any self cleaning feature, to my disappointment they said this is correct. When I asked if it would then be fine to use a traditional oven cleaner on this oven for the manual cleaning and I was told it was not recommended to use anything but their “Affresh cooktop cleaner” which can also be used on ovens. If I had realized there was no actual self-clean feature I do not think that I would have bought this range as manually cleaning an oven, even with the “AquaLift self-clean technology” helping to loosen the stains and debris, is time consuming and not an enjoyable task at all.

I would love to rate this range, but I am currently going on 7 months that I have been waiting for delivery of the range. Additionally, since I ordered and paid for the entire kitchen suite, the smart microwave freezes up bi-weekly, and the french door fridge has frosted up multiple times. If I hadn't ordered the Black Stainless I would cancel in a heartbeat and order another brand.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Bought this online almost exactly 1 year ago and noticed that one of the turn dial knobs is peeling off! I can’t find anywhere to contact for any sort of warranty and it was actually delivered to us less than a year ago! Beware

Since day 1 the touch display has not worked properly.
The oven shuts off ALL THE TIME while cooking. The temperature is never correct. The self cleaning feature does NOTHING. Purchased 5 Whirlpool Black Stainless Appliances for a new house. NEVER AGAIN. Almost $10,000.00 ON SALE. I would pay double that today if I had the money for a brand not made by this company. There are problems of some kind with every single appliance! I like previous reviewers am afraid my house will burn down because of this range. The appliances have just turned 2 years old and I am stuck with them. Last night the oven completely gave out with a whole chicken in it.
Do not make our mistake and stay away from these appliances. We purchased when they were new on the market with no reviews. BIGGEST COSTLIEST MISTAKE EVER!

Cooling fan is shot and bottom burner caught fire & broke.
Wi-fi is extremely "meh". Only supports 2.4ghz, which is hilarious.
Screen occasionally freezes up, requiring breaker switch.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
