I love it!

I have only had this range for about 3 weeks, but I already love it. The gas stove top is great and the electric oven is wonderful. I recently made homemade buns and used the convection setting. I put two pans of buns in the oven on two different shelves. They turned out perfect. The were all browned exactly the same even the ones on the bottom shelf. I was so pleased.

Awesome smart oven!

We have had the dual fuel range for a few weeks and absolutely love it! We had an electric stove and cooking on it was a nightmare. This range has such precise heating that you can heat a pan up quickly or turn the heat down to a simmer. No more loving the pot off the burner to cool it down. The six burners are also spaced out enough to allow us to have multiple pans/pots going. The oven has been working really well. We use Alexa to preheat it and change oven temps. It has done all that we have asked and is beautiful to look at!

Really Nice Range

We bought this range for a new home that we just built and moved into about 5 days ago. It looks great and cooks great (so far).We had the first one delivered and the top was crushed, so the supplier ordered and installed another one. Unfortunately, we did not get a temperature probe with the 2nd range, so the supplier is sending us a replacement. One negative is that for a range at this price point, it should come with a hardcopy Users Manual. Yes, I can get one on the GE/Cafe website, but I should not have to do that. I called Cafe, and after being transferred 3 times, I got an agent who said they would send me a manual. Only a very brief Quick Start Guide comes with the range which is a bit silly when you have a product with so many features.

Great features

Dual fuel is the way to go. Six burners, griddle, easy to use controls, and good looks on top of it all. The largest burner boils water much faster than our GE gas cooktop in our other home. You can sync the range with a compatible over-the-range microwave to automatically turn on and off the microwave lights and exhaust fan whenever the range gets turned on.

The best of both worlds!

I am in love with my new GE Cafe range! I went from electric to the dual fuel, and you can’t beat a gas stovetop. And SIX burners!!! Wow! The electric oven is perfect. The temperature probe is a great feature. Not only does this range perform beautifully, it looks amazing in my kitchen. I’ve gotten several compliments on it.

Sadly, several issues in under one year

We've had three service visits for this range. Igniter continues to click while cooking randomly, despite 3 visits to resolve. The touchscreen is very sensitive, and will try to edit controls just by walking by or small touch while opening (and sometimes it will reset its temp back to 350). We had the main control board replaced based on error diagnostic, and had no change. Lastly, the fan is always on while cooking (even without convection) and isquite loud, and continues to run for 20-30 minutes after being shut down to cool, which is distracting while eating your meal nearby. We love the matching fridge, dishwasher, and microwave, but this range has been fraught with issues.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We are very sorry to hear about the difficulties you have had with the ignition system and with the electronic control panel. These comments are certainly not what we expect to hear regarding our Cafe ranges. If those issues have continued we would recommend having service back out to check the unit. We do recognize what an inconvenience this is for you. This range, as do most of our ranges with electronic controls has a cooling fan that will turn on to keep the electronics cool during operation. This fan will turn on based on temperatures around the electronic controls and is independent of the convection cooking functions. This fan will continue to run even after the range has been turned off until the area around the electronic controls cools down to a safe temperature. We can understand this might prove to be a distraction and apologize for that. We wish you all the best. Vikki@Cafe
