versatile microwave/convection features

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a very good oven. Installed over an 800 series single wall oven, it provides a versatile double oven and looks very good. I have only a few minor nitpicks:
-Popcorn function could work better. Instead of automatically shutting off when the corn stops popping (as with other microwaves I've owned), it requires you to set the time based on the size of the bag. I know this is a true nit-pick, but this should be a standard function in a high-end microwave.
-Alarm sound is too quiet to hear, unless you're standing in front of the oven, limiting its functionality.

Looks Awesome in my kitchen

Quiet, versatile, and well designed

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I couldn't believe a built-in microwave could be this quiet. This replaced a prior microwave from another manufacturer that you could hear running from 100 feet away. The old microwave had a paint-coated interior - nasty peeling and rust. This one: stainless. Easy to clean.
This oven was a bit harder to install - much taller than the previous one - but eclipses the old in versatility. The old did one thing: microwave. This one: microwave, convection bake, broil. I have a built-in oven below this, and in previous years, holiday dinners were always a competition for the oven. Now, this gives us choices.
It's easy to use, too. I skimmed a couple things in the manual, but mostly can just press a few buttons to get the right functions.
If I had one complaint: the oven is incredibly quiet - but that seems to have extended to the design of the end of cycle audible beep as well. I've got the volume at max - but it would be helpful to have it a bit louder. A minor issue and not one that's caused us a problem, though.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Versatility at its best!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] During a recent kitchen remodel, we made the decision to give up our "double" ovens" and install a built in microwave to create a new look over our cook-top. During our search for our new appliances we discovered this beauty! Voila! We didn't give up our double over because now I have both a small oven that is perfect for smaller dishes and baking things like min-pizzas etc. AND I have a fantastic microwave too! Super easy to use and so many wonderful pre-programmed cooking functions!

Looks Beautiful but the quality isn't there

Have had this Micro for 4 years and have had to have it repaired every year since we bought it! First, one door switch broke & it popped the breaker. We replaced the switch. Second, the other door switch went bad, we replaced it. Then, the door springs broke inside the door (major issue as the entire door must be replaced or destroyed to get to these springs) we replaced them. Then, the door switch broke again (now we have to replace again!). During the last 2 years we have been dealing with the display that is so dim it is unreadable! We are not replacing the display as it is too expensive and we are ready to throw in the towel the next time it breaks! We are on our last repair! When we purchased the Bosch Micro we also purchased the matching oven and the dishwasher. We were thinking Bosch made quality products but I now see that we were very wrong!

Perfect Choice for Kitchen Remodel

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When remodeling our kitchen, a sales representative suggested we look at the Bosch Speed Oven instead of a conventional microwave oven. We are so glad we listened to the salesman--what a perfect combination with our new Bosch conventional oven!
We previously had a double oven but decided to replace it with the conventional oven/speed oven combination. The 27" model fit perfectly and looks great. Moreover, the features of the Speed Oven far surpass a conventional microwave.
I highly recommend this oven to anyone who is looking at a new oven to replace their existing microwave. Thank you Bosch!!!
