We had a similar frig from LG. No extras except for an ice maker, turned that one off as well as this one. That frig lasted 10 years, then the compressor died. We decided to buy a new one rather than fix the old one. We had to wait 21/2 months for this one and had to buy it relying on only pictures and specs. When we finally received it, 9/2/18, it was basically what we expected. A big frig with no gee gaws. It did have the ice maker but its design allows more freezer storage than the previous frig and we also turned it off. The new freezer handle is a big improvement over the older version, it's much easier to access the freezer. Our only complaint (and the reason for 4 stars rather than 5) are the way the frig doors operate. The left frig door has a very heavy feel and if you're not careful will slam shut nearly spilling the door shelf contents. The right door has a nice feel to it and a detent (plastic cam) to prevent it from slamming shut. And it requires only a nudge to shut it completely. When your hands are full the left door is nearly impossible to prevent slamming shut. If it had the same action as the right door we would give this frig 5 stars. This frig is quieter than the older one. You can here noises, fans, compressor, and a quieter version of the clicks and bangs the old one had. Much nicer. Lots of storage room and everything including the doors seems to keep every thing at the temperature that its set at. The default settings are 0 for freezer and 37 for frig. Frig doors appear to be at 40 degees. Haven't found anyplace in the frig that freezes food, as sometimes happened in the older one. The tray at the bottom has three settings and the one for vegetables seems to keep fruit and veggies as well as the crisper drawers.

We have had our refrigerator for 2 years Right before Christmas it stopped working Had a service man come out and found the compressor quit working. We are still waiting for parts to come in to fix this refrigerator
