[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’ve had this fridge a little over a month & I love it! The folding shelf is great to fit my water jug & filter. The delivery men reversed the doors for me, before bringing it into the house. I love the ice cube system, it’s genius & makes cute little pyramid ice cubes. I especially like that it is counter depth. Great size & forces you to be neat & organized.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was looking to replace a 15 year old 28 inch ,clumsy ,too deep, top freezer unit. This LG fit the bill perfectly.Counter depth makes food items easy to reach.Bottom freezer means no more vegetable bin at floor level.Clever interior shelf design and pleasant lighting.Sleek stainless -steel exterior with recessed handle on side of door.Very low noise volume.I did much research prior to this purchase and could not be more pleased with my selection.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The freezer on the bottom design is very convenient! All of your most used refrigerated items are easily viewed and readily accessible. The see through freezer drawers make it easy to locate and retrieve your frozen foods.
First impressions might suggest that this model is rather small, but the inside is so well thought out and designed that it is actually better than the 20 cubic foot model that it replaced.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] After a very long search for a smaller refrigerator for our very small kitchen, we took a leap of faith and ordered this unit, sight unseen and knowing the "platinum" would not exactly match our other appliances. We are VERY happy with our choice - it's sleek looking, counter depth and very neatly configured, right down to the "ice maker" (not automatic) which is perfect for this refrigerator. We feel we are going back to "simple" with great style and plenty of room! Form and function rule with this appliance.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The refrigerator is compact on the outside and huge on the inside. It's perfect for a house of 2-3 people. There's usually still plenty of room even after loading up with groceries. There are some smart features, such as the adjustable width fridge shelf, and some weird features, such as the manual ice maker (which we do use and like, by the way).
It's quiet and super efficient. The fridge is cold. The freezer is wicked cold. I like the digital temperature control over the traditional 1-5 number dial many fridges use to adjust the temperature.
Buyers should know the finish is not stainless steel. It's a much darker gun metal. It still fits in with our brighter stainless steel appliances, but it's not an exact match.
I wish the freezer drawers were slightly deeper. You can just barely fit a jumbo coffee can (height and width). If you don't abuse your coffee like this, it shouldn't be an issue. I also wish there was a strip of LED lighting in the back or along the top of the fridge compartment. There is a light strip on either side of the opening the lights everything in the front nicely. Food in the back is more dimly lit. It's not a problem. You can still see everything just fine. I'm just used to the inside of a fridge being bright lit in every corner.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Had this almost 3 weeks & am pleasantly surprised. I use the freezer a lot & am adjusting to a drawer style. For light to better see the freezer I put a clip on lamp on the table next to frig.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Ive learned to love it. The configuration of the shelving when it arrived didnt work for me. It didnt fit a gallon of milk( had to remove a shelf). The glass shelving also sags, with not much on a shelf. But i hate wire shelves , so i will have to deal with it. The fridge itself works great. Love fridge on top and freezer on bottom
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like the fridge so far, only a month in. But, the fact that I have to hire a 'service agent' to reverse the doors. Every other fridge I have owned we have been able to reverse the doors easily. LG offers no instructions and if you try to do it yourself it cannot be done because the top hinge for the opposite side is not included. To switch the freezer door the fridge needs to be tipped on its side.
