Nice appliance - bad tasting water/ice

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought in February 2018. The water and ice taste and smell like plastic. We have installed 2 filters and emptied the system numerous times with the same results. The hookup line (stainless steel braided) is the same from old appliance which never had a taste/smell.

I wish the freezer had another divider in the big drawer but that was easily solved by buying another. Dividers on the top drawer would have been nice too. My biggest problem is that even after several weeks and several times drawing out huge amounts of water it still tastes like plastic and the ice maker is very small and has jammed up twice. Has trouble keeping up with two old people. Super quiet, which is important to us.

I am 83 years old and hated having to sort through the freezer on my older side by side unit. With the roomy freezer area I can be so much more organized. Too, the veggie and fruit compartments are large and have excellent humidity adjustments. The Door-in Door feature is a real plus. It actually was the feature that helped with the final decision
