Not easy to clean

I was very excited to try this new grill after having a Patio Caddy for years. I'm finding it impossible to clean this new grill. How do I do it

We have had several of the original patio caddys. Then it was discontinued and we ought the patio bistro. Not only does it not cook as well but also is hard to clean,having to take the grill tray off to do it properly,effectively. The infrared cooking just does not compare to the former patio caddy. Please bring back the older model
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Amazing Grill!

This grill is perfect for small patios/back yards and cooks steak perfectly! The sear is amazing! Also, being able to add wood chips is great feature. No complaints whatsoever.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Hard to Clean

Dear Char-Broil,
Please consider releasing a ceramic grate option with larger holes for this model. I grill marinated meat regularly and it is impossible to clean the current grate properly without completely removing it from the grill and taking some steel wool to it. I either have to wait an hour for the grill to cool down and clean it right then and there, or take 15 minutes scrubbing the heck out of it before grilling. There is no burning off the bits with this grill. The only redeeming feature is the massive heat output. I do most of my grilling at 1-2.
For others, if you're thinking about purchasing this grill, it'll work great for you if you grill plain meats, veggies, and basically anything that doesn't release sugar.

Best retirement gift ever!

Have always swore by charcoal, thinking gas was like a speed boat compared to a sailboat, UNTIL I was given a Deluxe Patio Bistro Gas Grill as a retirement gift. Easy to assemble, as instructions clear and all parts included. Perfect for two people, whether meats of all types, fish, or vegetables. I almost always use a smoker box and recently have been using grill mat to eliminate the need to clean the grill. Even temperature; easy to clean; looks like new, as kept covered with Char-Broil cover. Have not used my charcoal grill in the past two years and am grilling much more frequently throughout the year since receiving this little wonder.
I would recommend this to a friend!
