I have had this smoker for 20+years.

I love my Longhorn smoker. I have used it for years. The only problem is that the firebox is getting burned out and could use replacing.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Best bang for the buck

I am sure that most of those poor ratings are from folks that are inexperienced at smoking meat and don’t realize that it takes much more time and patience to produce great barbecue. This smoker is an excellent tool for that very purpose, and you won’t find a better value anywhere else.

Overall a good smoker for the price. It would be nice if it came with factory supplied clamps and high heat gaskets as it has pretty severe smoke leaks without the aftermarket additions.

I bought my longhorn new about 8 years ago. I have learned all of my skills on it I have tried a few other offsets but the long horn has been old faithful. My only complaint is I installed the lid handle upside down which is no fault at the company I was just excited when I got it home. And I have yet to fix it. Just as long as you keep misted with a cooking oil spray or covered when not in use it’ll last a long time. However I would like to purchase a new firebox for mine it’s a little worn and the vent slide has seized. Keep in mind this unit is almost a decade old and I didn’t really know what I was doing in the beginning and it was neglected… all in all I highly recommend and would buy again. I
