Once is enough

Great concept infrared cooking but should have had cast iron grids over the holes as newer units come with. Just couldn’t keep the holes unplugged so hard to keep clean. Small footprint for those who need. Have used now several years. Always cleaned/covered inclement weather. Inside tent over burned finally deteriorated. Ignition system no longer works but, was unsafe from start as gas would not always ignite by sparks and without being able to easily see flame, cooking grate blew off several times. Heat dial was never able to adjust temperature so mostly had to cook on low with lid open. Added up replacement parts cost which exceeds half the cost of new unit on sale so just giving it up at his point. Loved size and concept but new units do not appear any different than mine so I’m gun shy to try a new one for fear I won’t have any better performance.

The product is average quality. The electronic igniter switch failed after two uses. I jump the wire to get it to work. The cooking surface is good and evenly applies heat

Meat Constantly Stick to grills

Every time we use this grill to grill any type of meats. The meats always end up sticking to the grill making it hard to remove them. We set the temp on 5 to get the most heat and this consistently happens. The grill does not get hot enough even at highest temp. Really disappointing

I bought my second gas Patio Bistro last month after retiring my first one that I have had for 15+ years! For the money, there's not a better grille. The Tru infrared will produce juicier meats every time. And flare-ups are a thing of the past.

Grill surface gets really hot no matter what the thermostat is set at, hottest surface is in the center, so food gets charred easily while still not fully cooked. Does not cook the same as my previous tru infrared from Char Broil. Pretty disappointing.
