Powerful burners for cooking all kinds of meals. The controls are nice to look and to touch and also very easy to access. Ignitions are reliable. overall it is exactly what i wanted and beyond my expectation.

Very Nice 30” 5 Burner Cooktop

We generally like this cooktop with its 5 burners, knobs that are lit when in use and the heavy grates. There is a bit of inconsistency in the black coloration by the knobs if you look closely and we needed to caulk between the outside of the cooktop and the counter because of the gap between these two surfaces. Still, a good product.

We replaced our 21 year old GE Profile cooktop with this model. I'm not super impressed. The stainless steel surface scratched within days of install (and continues to scratch easily). One of the knob's partially melted within the first few uses (the large skillet was too close to the knob). If you use the center burner at the same time as one of the other burners, the edges of the pots get too hot and scorch the contents of what's being cooked. The grills are super heavy, plus crumbs / seasonings which fall around the foot cushions where the grills rest are challenging to clean, I need a toothpick to get those small bits as a rag just doesn't do it. Also, if burners are turned down to the lowest setting too slowly the flame goes out (it's happened multiple times).
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We'd like to help out with some of the issues you've noticed with your new cooktop.

For the scratches you are noticing, we recommend wiping the exterior with mild detergent and warm water solution. Then rinsing and wiping away with a soft cloth. We don't recommend using abrasive cleaners, as it can damage the exterior. For cleaning around the indentations of where the grills set, we recommend using an appliance brush with bristles.

Really wanted to purchase this cooktop, had JenAir previously but love my GE oven and wanted to go all GE but the reviews are terrible due to melting knobs, who needs that.
Purchased KitchenAid instead, all steel knobs, could have gone with Maytag but would have lost the 5th burner on a 30" cook top.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Be careful after one year warranty is over

Just a little bit after one year of installation (1 year warranty), burners started clicking and light by the power boil burner remains on. I cleaned all the igniters as I did with my old one, but this time the problem doesn’t go away. Also the knobs are made of plastic which for the price paid is not worth it. Don’t buy it. Unless you are not going to use it.
