I absolutely love this cooktop, it replaced a 45 year old 24” top. This is sooo nice. Plenty of room for multiple pots/pans at the same time.

Knobs are plastic and melt.

The range cooks very well, My issue is with the quality of the knobs. They are made of plastic and melt. I would rather pay up for some actual stainless steel knobs. If I purchase replacements will they also melt? Also, the black lettering has come off the cooktop. For these reasons I do not think I can recommend this rangetop. I have other GE profile appliances that I am happy with. When we built our house I was excited to get all GE profile applicance.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Looks pretty and great layout but lacks quality

Scratches easily and the knob melted when burner was on high.

When it comes to daily cleaning and maintenance, we recommend using warm water with mild detergent, this is best for cleaning any grease or food residue. For cleaning up scuffs and scratches, we suggest using Cerama Bryte® stainless steel appliance cleaner.
