Cooktop has good quality except for the knobs. Cheap plastic. Come on GE!!!

Particularly delighted with the ability to regulate burners; I'm saving much time in preparation of meals. Cleaning up the glass is so very easy - a chore I used to dread. The order took awhile, but it was well worth the wait.

Nice, but....

While it is still new, this cooktop seems to do its job well, although I have a couple of concerns. My biggest issue with it is that the front-left igniter was faulty from the time of installation. It was tilted away from the burner and would require two, three or more attempts before igniting the gas. The technician whom I called out was unable to straighten it up and has ordered new parts. That's where it stands at this point. Another concern I have with the unit is that the glass is rather difficult to clean and, being black, smudges and spatters show up easily. Finally, I ordered this unit to replace an existing GE cooktop of the same configuration and, while the provided dimensions suggested that it would fit in the available space, the glass top was about 1/4" deeper, front-to-back, requiring modifications to the countertop it was set into (the adjacent down-draft vent had to be removed, and the remaining hole filled). So, although I have indicated that I would recommend this product to a friend, I would be sure to tell them about the issues I have had with it.

Wonderful choice for a Cooktop

When I began my search for a new cooktop, I wanted a good option that was easy to use. This cooktop fit the bill. I look the glass top and the large grates. It was very close to the same a size as my old Kenmore cooktop so only a slight modification was needed in my granite.

We have had our new gas cooktop for over a year. It functions well, but most unhappy with the placements of the burners. The small burner is in the back (right side) and very inconvenient! It seems to me that the small burner would be in front as the most used burner and also for safety!

I love this cooktop and it worked well but the igniter will not stop clicking when the stove is off and when the stove is on. It's only been two years but I'm waiting for service and will write back to you all after.
