Awesome for music.

I have had these for a little over 3 years now, and they still get daily use. For the music we listen to in my house (Rap, EDM, Thrash) they have been fantastic. At -20db on a Yamaha RX-A840 is where they start hitting their stride and at -10db, we'll just sit on the couch for an hour and enjoy ourselves.
The tweeter is incredibly detailed and you get awesome imaging. The bass doesn't really start hitting until you turn it up, but once you do, you'll start investing in command strips for any art on your walls.
For HT we paired these with a studio 520c, and have no complaints for our 3.0 setup for TV. But they probably only get about 2-3 hours a week of use for HT, so I'll let someone else give you details on that.
The only negatives I have, is the wave guide is a like a bullseye for little fingers. It's been an interesting couple years training the fingers away from the that amazing tweeter.
Also when we turn on metal the mids need a bit of an EQ boost to really present themselves, but for Rap and EDM they're great out of the box.
Since I caught these on sale, I'm giving them 5 stars for value, but at full price, it might be a 4/5. Still worth it, but it's harder to recommend.

Switched out my good old E90s for these and couldn't be happier. They fit like a glove in my 9 channel home theater. Outstanding sound and great price!

Some of the best speakers I ever heard

Sounds like "being there". Overall this is the best speakers I have heard in a very long time. Even most speakers costing 10 times the money, can't match the dynamics of these speakers. Build quality is very low and tweeter plate does not fit correctly.

Replaced my old L65's I bought overseas in the Navy in 1978. I loved those speakers but these will knock your socks off. I was impressed with the clarity at hight volume. I would buy these again.

Rock, vocals and classical come through strong and deep. Wind them up and they will hit you in the chest like a coal shovel. The sound is clear and clean. Imaging is wide and deep. Great speakers.

Great Sounding Speakers

Quality build, handsome tower speakers with excellent, detailed sound. High efficiency, non-fatiguing. Big sound field, great imaging. Everything in the music can be distinguished at high, medium and low volumes. I've had them for less than 24 hours and have played them for about 4-5 hours. Can't wait to see how they do after some "break-in" time. Fast shipping. Fantastic value. Very satisfied with this purchase
