I’ve had JBLs for over 40 years. I was just curious to see if I could agree with all +++++ ratings I had been reading about the 530s. Answer: Yes. Just be reasonable about what you expect.

I've only listened to the 530's for about an hour So far. And although a life long fan of Pink Floyd, untill the 530's, I didn't know music could be literally delicious.

Surprising Performance!

The Studio 530's are very versatile and are strong overall performers for their size and price, IMHO, particularly when used with a good sub or two. And I like the distinctive styling. I use mine in a 5.1 channel A/V set-up with a 520C center speaker and a pair of 550P subs. I'm very happy with them.

Really great sound - the horn design does it

I have the big brothers of these (the 590's) and got the 530's for my brother as a gift. They sound excellent as well! the 590's replaced an older pair of Snells (along with other speakers I have) and really do a great job.
I would recommend this to a friend!
