I know have purchased the third one of these and yet it still remains messed up the light won't stay off and it comes on when it wants to doesn't come on when I needed to I've had one of these before the very first one I had I loved it I still love this flashlight is my favorite one and that one was great I loved it somebody stole it so I got another one and I've had a problem with them ever since about another one because the second one didn't work good and I bought a third one because the second one didn't work good so now I got three flashlights that don't work and they're not cheap if I could come across the same flashlight with a promise that it's going to work like the first one did I would be totally happy a good company great flashlights just default product unfortunately I'm not happy about it

I obtained this product as a result of a warranty issue with a returned one. This one works fine except, as you function through the light setting, it goes from medium to bright to dim. Not quite in the usual order.

I bought a Polysteel 600 some years ago, and over time it became increasingly finicky and difficult to turn on, until it failed altogether. I eventually filed a warranty claim and Coast did send a replacement. However, the replacement worked only briefly out of the box before failing. Based on this, I can only conclude that the flashlight is of very poor quality and design. I'm very disappointed with this model and the company.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

My wife gave the Coast Polysteel 600 as a gift a few years back and it has been my smaller go to light I carry in my Jeep. Had a switch failure issue a couple of months ago and realized the Coast products have a lifetime warranty so I turned in the complaint and received a new light replacement. Awesome product and service. It’s good to own a product that the company stands behind.
