I have used various Coast flashlight products over the past 5-10 years. I find the quality on all to be superb. I purchase one or two dozen per year for client gifts and they are most appreciated. I had a warranty issue with one of my personal flashlights and Coast handled it famously. It was easy.

I have it for a few days now. I bought it because I wanted to use rechargable AA batteries. Guess what, it does not work. I am very dissapointed.

Awesome budget light!

I bought the model 600 for my mother in law and she loves it. She lives alone with several big dogs and has coyotes and the occasional mountain lion sighting on or near her house. This torch really lights up the night. Batteries are also easy to find. All in all a very good purchase. I myself carry the model 1000 in my truck and wouldn't want to get caught without it.

4 stars review is for the flashlight because the first one I bought had an intermittent problem of going off by itself or not working at times, it is a very bright flash light when it worked.
5 stars are for the customer service at Coast, they sent me a brand new flashlight no questions asked despite my 1st one was almost 2 years old, no problems with the replacement, great company to deal with .
