My daughter received the Melissa and Doug art easel and companion set from my husband's mother for Christmas a year ago. Whatever paint was left before this Christmas was in just as good condition as when she got it, as were the brushes, containers, and chalk. The paint is surprisingly (because of it's thick, rich quality) completely washable! She received more paints and brushes this year, much to her (and my) complete pleasure!

The whole kit is great for the easel. We received as a gift for Christmas this year. Have used the paint a handful of times but for whatever reason, the red paint turned pink after a couple months. It was stored in a bin with other paints but it seemed to change color.
I would recommend this to a friend!
