Excellent Player and amazing integration with my Home Theater

The one thing I love about my player is how it integrates with my HD TV, as soon as I put a DVD (or B-Ray) it turns on my TV and set the appropiated input, no remote control need, all this is done through the HDMI cable.
Also, I selected this player because I have many movies on my PC so I can connect an external Hard Drive (USB) and view my movie files. It actually supports more video formats than the specs says. I'm really happy with my Philips Blue Ray player.

We have been very satisfied with the player so far. It works as advertised.
I purchased the player because of the extreme dissatisfaction with our previous player's abilities with the WiFi. The Philips is performing nicely with our network. The only problem comes with my impatience with waiting for the player to come online when turned on. It does take a while for it to establish it's connection so I frequently use Setup's more manuel connection dialog even though I really don't need to.
I have had to "reboot" the player in the past as it would lockup under certain circumstances. Upgrading to the latest software release seems to have cured the problem.
The video has been great. It handles DVDs very well unlike some other Blu-ray players that I have seen.
Pros: an excellent overall blu-ray player
Cons: none so far.

The set-up was easy and presented well on the set-up screen. The internet access automatically uploads software updates to the player, seamlessly. For the price it is a great deal, and it even presents a great picture on your HD TV.
Pros: easy to set up right out of the box

Its great if you have bluray dvds and you watch Netflix the down side is the new BDP2900 gets Pandora and this one doesnt. I have both models I like this one for the wifi and the digital display but hate that it doesnt have Pandora Radio.
Pros: wifi, netflix, vudu

great looks and fast blu ray loading times

my previous blu ray player took ages to load a movie but on this one, it works like a charm
Pros: good looks aluminium finish, fast loading times
Cons: i still dont like the user interface, remote is kinda lousy
