Very good peeler

this is a very good peeler. I use it for carrots and potatoes all the time. OXO is a good brand and it survives the dishwasher. IT HASN’T GOT DULL, AND I’VE HAD IT FOR A LITTLE WHILE.

I never thought I’d rave about a vegetable peeler, but the OXO Swivel Peeler truly deserves it! The blade is razor-sharp and glides through everything—potatoes, carrots, even tough-skinned butternut squash—like butter. The swivel design makes peeling feel effortless and adjusts perfectly to the curves of the produce.
The handle is another standout feature: it’s soft, non-slip, and comfortable to hold, even when my hands are wet. It doesn’t dig into my palm, so I can peel large batches without discomfort. Cleaning is a breeze, too—just rinse and it’s ready to go.
It’s sturdy, reliable, and feels like it will last for years. I’ve tried other peelers before, but this one is in a class of its own. If you want a kitchen tool that’s comfortable, efficient, and built to last, this is it!

This peeler was a major upgrade from our old one. Blades are sharp in either direction, and works well on carrots, apples, potatoes, so a multitude of textures. Cleaning by hand is a bit rough, but that's to be expected. I do wish the grip was a bit better.

I have used this particular peeler for over 20 years and its still sharp. Use it for garlic ginger,citrus zest, as well as the usual cucumber, potatoes. and carrots.
