I purchased this just after getting my new S8 and had previously had a plastic Otterbox with my last iPhone and it performed as designed and save me from a damaged phone multiple times. My only beef with that case was the dexterity required to get it in and out of it's two piece case. This new case is single piece to drop the phone into and then the wrap around closure provides full screen protection. I think the card sleeve on the inside is a bit gimmicky and it won't hold more than one or two cards. Lastly, the shipping time on these is the real shortfall. I ordered the case on 3/26/18 and it did not arrive until 4/7/18, nearly two weeks after ordering even though the case shipped out within a day or two in the USA.
