we bought this item for my niece for her 6th birthday. she loves artsy stuff, and she loves throwing parties. it seemed like a good mix. everyone thought they were so neat, and asked where we had got them. my niece loves them and played with them right away, more than any of the other gifts she received!
Pros: Durable, Easy Assembly, Entertaining, Fun, Great Value, Interactive

Excellent Toy......So Glad I Found It!!

This is truly a great toy. The wooden cupcakes and candles are very durable and it makes for great pretend play. Santa brought this for our 2 year old daughter for Christmas and she loves this. She loves birthdays and to "cook" for us and help in the kitchen so this was really perfect for her. The only down side is that yes, the markers are a little difficult to wipe off the tops and the wood especially if you don't wipe it off immediately (who has time to worry about that) but Mr. Clean magic erasers work wonders and take it off in a snap. Thank you Melissa and Doug!!

GREAT present for little kids!

My daughters received this as a gift from their grandparents and they LOVE it. They are 2 and 4 years old and play with it constantly. Their older siblings (6 and 9) even enjoy playing it with them. This toy gets so much use, I need to find replacement "icing." I also might add that my kids get tired of toys so quickly and that is a source of frustration for me. But they have not gotten tired of this toy, which is an extra PLUS for me.

I was able to use baby wipes to clean the dry erase off the cupcake tops. I found that they also worked to take the markers off the wooden cupcakes. Spray window cleaner also works. My Granddaughter loves this and we play all the time, it was a birthday gift. She likes all her M&D toys. She is 3 years old. Hope to get replacement markers for this also.
