Great top, black grates are the best

Generally happy, except when the oven heats up, the door doesn't close as smoothly. The bottom drawer is a bit flimsy. Otherwise, very satisfied.

Lots of improvements over older models

When I bought my house in 2003, it had GE Profile appliances. And, after a second failure of the main burner glow coil, it was time for a new one. Two major improvements in the new model are in the burners. It has a front right triple-ring burner like the professional ranges that puts out 19,000 BTU, which heats up a pot of water about as fast as an induction range. It also has a large oval shaped burner in the center of the cooking surface, which is great for an indoor grill (it actually comes with a reversible cast iron grill insert, but it's a bit small). I was concerned at first that the product was described as a convection oven (I've had a convection oven in the past and never got used to it). But, the convection operation is a mode that you can select, so you don't have to use it as a convection oven. The oven comes with 3 racks, which seemed a bit much. But, one of the racks is on sliders that allow you to easily glide a heavy dish out of the oven. The styling is also great - it fits right in with my older GE Profile appliances. It was well worth the extra cost of the Profile line.

Excellent choice

We bought the stove to replace a flat top electric stove that was in our recently purchased house. We like the features, especially the bonus pancake reversible griddle for the middle burner. We also like the power burner for boiling.

I purchased this stove through our local GE dealer and not a home store. The pricing was within $2 of the home store. Great features! Love the large oven with the roll out shelf, and the 5 gas burners are excellent! Very please with this product.

Too Hot to Handle

Part of The GE Line when we were redoing the kitchen applicanes. Needed a solid stove that met my wife's expectations and a stove that could handle the various family dinner and celebrations. This is it, solid stove . Easy to clean. powerful burners. GE name on it for quality.
